Bombers Burger Gaya Street Review

I initially saw a huge advertisement for Bombers Burgers while browsing durians at kepayan bridge. A huge sign, showing a big juicy burger "All American burger RM8".

A quick search for Bombers Burger came up with a review from Jessie Blue Sky. Pictures she took over there just made my mouth water. Just had to give it a go!

Had to head to KL the next day, so had to squeeze in a supper directly after dinner. Dropped by at 10pm. Wow.. this place was full and luckily there was only one group waiting in front of us.

I like the queueing system that they have, something that I have not seen in KK before. It seems that you need to write down on a book in front of the shop your name and no of pax. Then take a corresponding laminated number tag (something like when u put your bag at security before entering the supermarket). After that, just wait for your number to be called.

In a couple of minutes we got our table. Really liked the decor in the place.
Ammo box which keeps the sauces
At the table there is an ammo box that kept with the "bombers" theme. The sauces and tissues go in there.

Menu.. what to choose
As it was directly after dinner, our tummies were only able to consume snack sized food hehe.. We ordered a The Smoker burger and buffalo wings to share. Surprisingly, all drinks were sold out except sprite and water.. Must be pretty good business.

Few minutes later, the waitress came back and said that they were out of buffalo wings. So i tried to order the normal chicken wings.. no luck.. out of stock too. Ended up with the chicken tenders.

The Smoker
Burger shared by three people. The burger pattie was really thick, maybe triple the thickness of a McDonald's cheeseburger. Taste wise was average, nothing to make you go wow. Pattie was mildly juicy and the sauce and cheese were mildly tasty. Could be cause it was directly after dinner, but the taste was nothing fantastic. Heavily sauced.

Chicken Tenders
Chicken tenders came out looking almost black. Not sure if its suppose to turn out like that. Good thing is that there wasn't any burnt taste and smell. Again taste wise were alright, nothing fantastic that keeps me craving for more.

As it was just after dinner, this would have been a rather unfair review. Will definitely drop by next time as there are a lot more other items on the menu to try and is still seems like the only american themed place in KK. Check it out when I'm back in KK.
